The education for independent and responsible learning is an important teaching goal at our school, which is taken into account through the use of diverse and individually applicable materials, work equipment and teaching units, under the motto: "Learn to learn from the beginning". The students are strengthened in their method, communication and cooperation skills. In this way, all students can be encouraged and challenged individually according to their talent and performance in the context of differentiated lessons. Every child is seen in their individuality and can feel accepted and cared for with all their strengths and weaknesses and can contribute to the group.
At our school, many children learn with and without special educational needs (joint learning). All students are promoted according to their abilities, strengths and talents and supported on their individual learning paths.
The special education teachers plan and carry out individual support measures. Together with the teachers, you develop individual support plans that form the basis for individual support and that flow into the lesson planning. They develop support materials as well as measures to strengthen social skills. They diagnose needs for support and advise colleagues in all areas of learning together.
We also support our regular classes with iPads, document cameras and projectors. In addition to working with the latest learning software, we also offer students internet access (e.g. for ANTOLIN, grundschuldiagnose.de, ...) and the ability to independently create and edit texts, presentations and projects on the iPad. Every school year you learn how to edit your own texts and presentations as part of a weekly iPad group.
Since the beginning of 2005, every elementary school has had its own concept for the school entry phase. The focus of this concept is the individual support of each child. Every child is supported in the school entry phase in such a way that in 1 to 3 years they will meet the mandatory requirements of class 2, which are set out in the guidelines and curricula. At our school we decided together with the parents that we would continue to work in year-specific study groups.
